After doing all of the research into the front cover, content page and double page spread, I know am going to start designing my own Music Magazine. I will design a Front Cover, a Content Page and finally a Double Page Spread. These are all things that I looked at in my research meaning that I have a good idea of what to include on them. Obviously because my main audience is Indie/Classic Rock I am going to design a Magazine like this. As you will know in one of my previous posts, I have already written what I am going to write for my double page spread. I know just have to design the magazine using Adobe in design and take some pictures. I will then edit the pictures where necessary on Adobe Photoshop.
I have a week to do this, starting on Monday and then finishing on the following Monday. This is when I want the rough cut to be done by. Below I am going to explain what I am going to do each day:
Monday:- On Monday I am going to be designing the layout of my Front cover and my content page. I will do this using Adobe in design. I am also going to start working out which colours should be used for my magazine. From my research i found that a three colour scheme looked good.
Tuesday:- On Tuesday I am going to finish the layout of the Front Cover and Content and start doing the layout of the Double page spread. I am also going to make sure that I have decided on the final colour scheme and also I am going to start planning what I will actually say on the Front cover and Content.
Wednesday:- On Wednesday I am going to finish the layout of the double page spread, and make sure I know exactly what I am going to be saying on the Front Cover and Content. I have already written what my story is going to be so on there is no thought needed for the double page spread. I know need to take some images for my Magazine.
Thursday:- The main objective of Thursday will be to finish taking the images and start doing some photo editing using Adobe Photoshop. I will also decide on the font I am going to use for my Magazine.
Friday:- Finish the photo editing and make sure the images are all correct and look right for my Magazine. Once this is done I will implement the font into the magazine, make sure it has been coloured correctly and also make sure i have written what needs to go on each page.
Monday:- Implement the images where they are supposed to go. Make bar code for magazine. Make sure everything is finished correctly and well.
