Analyse Front Cover

I am going to have another look at another Magazine front cover that is conventional to my genre. Again I am going to be looking at a Mojo Magazine.





This is the second example Magazine. It is a great example showing a classic rock genre theme. The main image fills the whole of the front cover. This image include four people. It is the band the Beatles. These are an iconic band meaning that there is going to be a mass audience attracted. Also because they are a band that have been around for a while it means that older people could be attracted to read the magazine. I think generally this music magazine will be mainly aimed at an audience of 15-40 years old. I think that the main gender would be a 50-50 split between men and woman. This is because there is nothing on the Front cover that suggests it should be aimed towards one or the other gender. The facial expression of the four men is also very interesting. This is because wherever you look their eyes are always looking at you. This helps to make people instantly become engaged with the front cover. If someone was walking past there eyes would be drawn straight to the peoples eyes that are staring right back at them. There eyes are exactly where your eyes fall when you look at the four men. this is because they are all almost aliened just before the middle section of the Magazine front cover. Again like all of the Mojo Magazines that I have looked at there is a frequent colour scheme going on. This colour scheme consists of three different colours and in this case they are white, grey and black. Again like all of the other Magazines these colours help the text stand out and they all look good together. this will help to draw readers in. The Mojo title is located at the top and is centred. It stands out over everything else. I like the way that it is behind the main image making it blend in a lot more. The first thing that really stood out to me on this Music Magazine was the way that there eyes looked in the picture. All of there eyes were aliened and all looked like they were looking at you. I feel that this will help to attract people in. This is because they will feel like the magazine is starring at them. Again like on all Mojo Magazines there is a frequent colour scheme. I truly think that will help to attract people in and also it looks very good.
